Dark Fantasy Monster Pack 1
A downloadable asset pack
Hi I'm zneeke.
This is a pack of three monsters for a 2D dark fantasy setting. From now on I will be working on more packs and they will be added in the upcoming months. My goal is to add and release one to two asset packs per month depending on my free time.
This pack includes:
Three creeper monsters with various animations.
- Creeper 1 - free (canvas dimensions 48x48 pixels)
- idle, walk 1, walk 2, attack 1, attack 2, hit, death 1 & death 2 animations
- Creeper 2 (canvas dimensions 64x48 pixels)
- grow tentacles, idle, walk, attack 1, attack 2, attack 3, hit and death animations, attack 3 variants (north, south and customizable)
- Creeper 3 (canvas dimensions 64x48 pixels)
- idle, walk, attack, teleport, hit and death animations
notes:
- If you find any errors or glitches in animations, please feel free to leave a comment or contact me and let me know so that I can fix them.
- Also, if you have interest for these in colored version (rather than a silhouette), please let me know.
License
- You can use the pack assets in your personal and commercial projects.
- You can edit the assets to fit your needs.
- Credit is not required but it would be appreciated.
- Reselling or redistributing of this asset pack or it's contents is not allowed.
Updates
- file monster_pack_1_eyes is the latest version and eyes were added (you have option of monsters with or without eyes)
- decided to make Creeper 1 free to download and to test in games/projects.
- added north and south attacks for monster 2, and separate monster and tentacles as requested

Nice! This is good. I’ve seen my guy it in the first room. Reached the end and last room is pretty big.
Two things I’ve noticed and I’d like to see you improve are:
That red guy shooting that blue spell really surprised me. I barely escaped.
Props for mentioning all the people involved in the project.

edit: Sprites. The bat animation makes him disappear for 1 frame. And just to let you know that I managed to finish first room without getting the key. Is that by accident or intentional?

I bought this and love the animations! Just wondering, is it possible for you to add a north and south direction for the attack where the monster puts tentacles in ground and a part of them come up a small distance away?
Sure thing.
This one? North and south attacks?
Or this one? Separate tentacle for attack that can be placed where you need/want it?
Or both?
Yes, thanks! I was thinking the first one. Ideally the other monsters with the long tentacle attacks would be good to have north and south as well, but that might take a lot of effort and I know the price is low. Adding N/S/NE/SE directions makes the monsters more useful for top down games but I know it's harder to do. Thanks for responding!

Hey! I’m glad you’ve sorted it out.
I have several ideas I’m testing out right now. One of them would be a bigger, boss monster of the same type, and more monsters that are bigger, and stronger.
Something like this:
I will expand upon the idea, and add more monsters to the dark fantasy packs.
